The Smart Grant scheme is open to all R&D technologies in the UK.
Obtaining one of those grants is getting steadily more competitive.
Grants from £25k to £250k
There are three kinds of Smart Grants available:
Proof of Market (£25k, 60% match funded), Proof of Concept (£100k, 60% match funded), Development of Prototype (£250k, 45% match funded).
Which one you should go for depends on the stage of the concept, its finances, the kind of product it’s looking to develop.
The new batch assessment dates for Smart scheme applications are:
- Round 4 – 26/11/2015 12:00
- Round 5 – 21/01/2016 12:00
- Round 6 – 24/03/2016 12:00
